AXA Rosenberg
American Cities Program – San Francisco

AXA Rosenberg

AXA Rosenberg is a global equity investment manager that uses an active investment management process based on fundamental investment analysis and powered by the innovative use of technology. Our goal is to consistently deliver alpha (returns above the market) to our clients. We work on behalf of our clients from offices in Greenwich (Connecticut), Hong Kong, London, Orinda (California), Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo and Toronto.

The “AXA” in “AXA Rosenberg” was adopted in 1999, when we entered into a strategic alliance with AXA Investment Managers. At that time, we were managing less than US$9 billion, and we laid out our vision of what we believed we could become: the pre-eminent global quantitative equity manager, providing innovative, high-quality investment solutions for clients, stimulating and rewarding careers for employees, and superior returns for shareholders. Now, with over US$140 billion in assets under management, strong long-term investment performance, a proven scalable business model, and a stable and dedicated team, we are well on our way to achieving this vision.

We strive for an informal collegial yet professional environment where every team member takes personal initiative and responsibility for ensuring that our commitments to clients as well as our individual and team aspirations are met. Success in the AXA Rosenberg environment requires curiosity and an insatiable appetite for learning; a strong sense of personal responsibility; the courage to communicate openly and honestly; a passion for innovation; and the commitment to treating others with dignity and respect. We expect a lot of ourselves and of each other because what we do for our clients is important, and it matters that we do it well.

AXA Rosenberg has always prided itself on its commitment to community and has various charitable contribution programs, a “green” initiative, and a developing socially responsible investing (SRI) function. These efforts are at various levels of acceptance and sophistication in each of the firm’s 9 offices. The Intern will help to create a more cohesive global program by (1) inventorying our efforts in each of our offices, (2) researching and documenting the programs of our French parent company and the best practices of other companies our size and type, and (3) working with the established Charitable Contributions working group, our “Green Team”, and our Global Chief Investment Officer to make recommendations on steps we can take to reinforce the agenda globally and improve the specific programs.
