Marc Platt Productions, based at Universal Studios, is a busy production company working in film (WANTED, LEGALLY BLONDE, RACHEL GETTING MARRIED), theater (“Wicked”), and TV (“Empire Falls”). We’re currently shooting Rob Marshall’s musical NINE with Daniel Day Lewis and Don Roos’ LOVE AND OTHER IMPOSSIBLE PURSUITS with Natalie Portman. Upcoming projects include SCOTT PILGRIM, to be directed by Edgar Wright and starring Michael Cera.

Internship Description:

Interns read and analyze scripts, writing coverage and giving verbal feedback; attend creative meetings; read magazines and newspapers and go online, looking for story ideas; do project research; offer suggestions for writer, director, and cast lists; and perform general offices duties like running errands and filling in for assistants. Interns have a high level of access to executives, and they are even included in staff meetings with Marc.

Knowledge of film, directors, and actors desired, but all backgrounds welcome.

Personality:

 

 

Looking for people who have strong writing skills, a knack for problem solving, a positive attitude, and a desire to learn.
